ws2811 is a three-channel LED drive control dedicated circuit. The chip contains an intelligent digital interface data latch signal shaping amplification drive circuit, a high-precision internal oscillator and a 12V programmable stable current output driver. The three channels have a certain delay turn-on function, which can reduce circuit ripple.

The chip uses a single-wire return-to-zero code communication method. After the chip is reset online, the DIN terminal receives the data from the controller. The first 24-bit data sent is extracted by the chip and then sent to the data latch inside the chip. The remaining After the data is amplified by internal shaping processing, it is forwarded and output to the next-level chip through the DO port, so that high-speed data transmission can be achieved.

The data latch inside the chip generates different duty cycle control signals at the OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB control terminals based on the received 24-bit data. When waiting for the RESET signal to be input at the DIN terminal, all chips synchronously send the received data to each segment, the chip will re-receive the data after the signal ends. After receiving the first 24-bit data, it forwards the data port through the DO port. Before the chip receives the RESET code, the original output of the OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB pins remains unchanged. After receiving the low-level RESET code of more than 280μs, the chip will output the 24bit PWM data pulse width just received to the OUTR, OUTG, and OUTB pins.
